Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Deep Thinker

October 22, 2007 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 5 Comments

Fudge, (daughter #5), was quite perplexed on Sunday. She wanted to know how the first people got to be on the earth if they weren’t born.

Fudge said, “All people are born, so Adam and Eve couldn’t have been the first because they had to be born from someone. But if they were the first people then how did they get here?”

How do you explain to a just turned five-year-old that God created Adam and Eve and placed them here on the earth? I tried but she kept insisting that people have to be born.

Mr. Ferrero Rocher didn’t help. He just said, “Good question! So does that mean Adam and Eve didn’t have belly buttons?”

Fudge finally decided to just believe me but concluded “I’m thinking up hard questions because I’m five now and can think harder.”

I’m not so sure Adam & Eve were “just created” myself. God tends to follow natural laws of the universe.

I heard an interesting idea at church on Sunday. Scientists now believe that Universe was formed with sound waves/sonic booms. Interesting when you consider that Genesis says “and God said let there be light…” etc.

I like her reasoning. And speaking of fudge, now I want to make some.

I was 29 when I wondered whether or not Adam and Eve had belly buttons. She’s way ahead of the game!! 😀
I like to think deep too…
