Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Breaktime

July 12, 2008 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 9 Comments

I’m taking a break from blogging this next week. Actually from all of technology in general – computers, TV, movies, etc. I’ll still be checking e-mail and maybe late at night when all the kids are asleep I’ll try to read a few blogs but for the most part I’m staying away. Why? I need to regroup, reorganize, declutter, reevaluate everything.

*Our house is beginning to swim in clutter again.
*Major cleaning is going to happen all week long.
*I need to start figuring out curriculum for next school year.
*I need to revise our chore chart just a little.
*We need to create our master to-do list with accompanying schedule for getting it done.
* and the list goes on and on….

I’ve got posts written and lined up for this week. They are “tag” posts so you’ll probably learn more about me then you ever really wanted to know. 😀 I’ve been tagged by at least 5 people for for various things and am finally getting around to answering them so there’ll be a new “tag” post each day. So here’s your fair warning….proceed with caution…you might find your name at the bottom of a post being tagged your own self!

Would I really accomplish that much more if I stayed away from the computer? I almost need a nap just from reading your list. Of course, all that is usually on my to do list. Thankfully I am really good at finding fun blogs to read like yours so I can ignore my list. …which takes me back to my original question. =)
Please share your triumphs and woes of the next week when you are finished! Maybe you’ll inspire me to get my house and life in ship shape order.

Have a good break!! I’ve been taking one this week, completely unintentionally, but it’s been really nice actually. I have a list like yours that I still need to tackle so I should probably continue my break through next week, but I was missing my blog buddies today. 🙂

I think your plan is a GREAT idea! I’m glad you have some posts planned ahead, though! Good luck on your list – – it always feels so good when we have the opportunity to get caught up, doesn’t it?

Good luck with all the to-do’s!

I’m not sure what I have to tackle this week. I do have 50 lbs of frozen chicken that I need to can, but it’s intimidating me so I may put it off a little longer, or at least until the weather is cooler.

Great idea! I’ve been planning to do the same thing all summer – it just hasn’t happened yet. Maybe you could post your chore/school work ideas – that may get me started.

I’m still using the “recovering from a newbaby” excuse but he’s over 2 months now!

Good luck – I’ve sure enjoyed your blog.
