Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Forever Strong

September 26, 2008 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 5 Comments

Want a great feel good movie to go see this weekend? Try Forever Strong. Based on a true story about the Highland Rugby team and their coach Larry Gelwix. Through the sport of rugby Coach Gelwix teaches the values of family, respect and honor. The plot of the movie is about one player in particular, Rick Penning, who finds himself in trouble in his home state of Arizona, is sent to a juvenile detention center in Utah and offered an early release if he will play for the Highland Rugby team, which just happens to be the main rival of Rick’s old team coached by his father. Here’s the trailer and a few behind-the-scenes videos to peak your interest.

Click here to see if it’s showing in a theater near you. This movie is PG-13 for thematic material involving teen drug and alcohol use, and for some disturbing images. Unfortunately for us we live out in the boondocks so there aren’t any theaters near us showing the movie this weekend.

{{sigh}}

I guess I’ll have to be content watching some other sports flick like Hoosiers or my personal favorite, Victory, go Pele!

    I love Sean Austin, did you ever see him in Memphis Belle. I’ll have to wait until it is on netflix, we live way too far from a theater too.
