Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

You are here: Home / Create / Holidays / Christmas / So what do YOU do with an old satellite dish?

So what do YOU do with an old satellite dish?

December 26, 2008 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 16 Comments

We use ours for a sled.

Getting everyone piled in

Driving out to the pivot

Swinging them around

Love those mountains

View out the rear window of the pickup

Bringing them back to the shops after a half hour of fun

We took the kids sledding on Christmas Day using the hood of an old pickup but the littler ones didn’t like all the snow that got in their faces. Yes, we are rednecks! Today they had fun just sledding down our hill with a regular sled. Then Mr. Ferrero Rocher came home for lunch and asked who wanted to try out the new sled. He welded four loops onto the inside of the satellite dish and strung rope through it creating a big square so we had handles to steady ourselves on the ride. I haven’t had that much fun screaming and laughing in a long time. It was a blast!

What makes it all the more fun is that is was spontaneous

I think rednecks have more fun

Calandria and I used to get pulled behind a snowmobile, inhaling all of that lovely exhaust. I appreciate the length of rope behind the pick up, that way the fumes are minimal!

What an awesome sled! Good thing you have plenty of space to pull it around in.
