Truth and Consequences

May 18, 2009 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 20 Comments

Thanks for the well wishes on the pregnancy! We are all very excited. The baby is due on October 13th which happens to be my grandmother’s birthday. Mr. Ferrero Rocher and the kids all want to find out what it is but I prefer waiting until the baby is born. Chances are we’ll find out though because of my history of placenta privia several ultrasounds will have to be done.

Of course, we’ve been kicking around names already. Lydia is in the running for a girl because my grandmother’s middle name is Lydia. The girl name list is much shorter than the boy list. Wonder why? ☺ The only other names we both like are Julie and Grace. For boys so far Henry, Gideon, Levi, Peter, Owen, and Jedidiah are on the list for first names. Several are family names of ancestors (Dad, do you feel old being called an ancestor?). Judging from past experiences these lists will look drastically different by the time the baby arrives. One thing we are not looking forward to, buying one of these

{{sigh}} I guess it can’t be helped.

It’s ok- we have less children than you and just bought one of those beasts (except mine is blue!)

I have a picture on my blog-

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

My brother’s family just bought one of those vans. They can fit their family and ours in at once. Now every time the kids see a van like that they say “Hey look the cousins are here”.

Congratulations on your newest little one coming. Good luck with the name list. We have decided to leave it up to the kids to name ours. Sophie picked Henry’s name for him so we feel pretty confident she can pick us another winner.

Girl names are always easier for me. Lydia is so pretty–I vote for that one. 😉

Congratulations! My mom and dad (Lane Lance) drove around a BMW (big mormon wagon) until we started leaving home! It was so fun to drive!! We are expecting a baby boy end of Aug! Fun times. I love reading your blog and trying out all your ideas.

Wow! I’m so happy for you and your family – what a blessing.

I learned to drive on one of those vans and I’ve been begging for one ever since we had 2 children. We’ve been eyeing the Sprinter and just discovered Ford is introducing their foreign van to the US very soon. I saw one in Detroit this past weekend and they look cool.

Lydia? Ugh….that’s such an awful name.

(I’m just saying this because I want to name a baby that, I LOVE that name, for the same reason you do)

Big congratulations, first off. Secondly, think of that big ol’ van as a badge of honor! I hope that some day my family will require one of those. You have to be a pretty hard working Mom to need one of those – drive it with pride.

sigh is right…I remember the excitement of downsizing to a mini van as some of my older siblings left home. Although, if our old van could talk, oh my, the stories it would tell…all good clean fun of course 😀

    Congrats on the pregnancy!

You should look at the Sprinters – better gas mileage and you can stand up inside them. We’re not getting one becuase it won’t fit in the garage.

My newest grandchild’s name is Gracie, so that’s my vote for girl. I wrote a book with the main character named Levi–my vote for boy. But I like all the names you chose.
