Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Too busy to blog…

June 7, 2010 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 12 Comments

Instead I’ve been . . .

♥ Working in the garden trying to get the last of it planted. Finally. Gardening is great exercise! All that bending and squatting, hoeing and digging, and walking around and around.

♥ Updating family pictures

♥ Attending graduations and graduation parties.

♥ Looking for an online source for these monsters.

This is the package of giant marshmallows we roasted last week. I found mine at Winco in Reno. They are Campfire brand marshmallows. Hopefully you’ll be able to find some near you. The kids LOVED them!

♥ Learned that this swing was all homemade by my ever talented brother-in-law. He took an old disc blade, drilled holes for the chains, and used an old roller bearing so it would turn. He’s working on a merry-go-round next.

♥ Reading some pretty thought provoking articles: Separation (from the world) Anxiety, Vulgarity on Parade, and Our Weapons of Rebellion.  If you read them I’d like to know what you think! Oh, and all these quotes too!

♥ Getting hooked on green smoothies.

♥ Figuring out what to write for this Wordfull Wednesday’s topic of  FAITH. Join us, won’t you?

♥ Loving these diapers.

♥ Early voting in our Primary.

♥ Muggin’ on this sweet face.

♥ And cleaning out my Google Reader. I got rid of over 150 feeds! I’ll be cutting it down again in about a week or two. My time is better used elsewhere.

Two thumbs up on the gardening…and those books look fantastic! I need to put them on my summer bucket list!

Ooh, “Vulgarity on Parade” was quite an eye-opener! I’m glad that I live in simple old Pennsylvania. I’m sure that this happens here too, but not too much really where I live out in the country. The comment about people being so close to Babylon that they don’t even realize it…so true.

Your new family photo is wonderful!

I have been eliminating subscriptions from my reader feed the last couple of weeks as well. Too funny.

How is the in president of the Reno Temple (President Wadsworth… can’t remember his first name but he’s from Fallon) related? I’m assuming he is related.

    Allison,

He’s my father-in-law. We are very excited for them. They’ll be living in Reno for the next three years.

Thank your kind words about my post about Vulgarity on Parade. I got quite a bit of not so nice mail on that one. It was encouraging to see that there were people who could see what I am seeing.

What I really love about your post is the snapshot of what you are doing. It inspired me to be more joyful in gardening, especially…

And, I love the green smoothies, too. They are a life saver!

    OK

I went searching for them…mainly because I wanted to have some, and this was the only place I could find them. 🙂

But they are pretty new I guess so they are pretty popular I guess.

I am going to check out the two articles you linked. Thanks for the links.

I’ve been drinking green smoothies 3X per day for 9.5 months. I’ve lost 30 lbs. that I didn’t even realize I needed to lose. I’ve gotten rid of oddles of maladies that were plaguing my like. I’m a green smoothie zealot.

Thanks for the links to the articles. They were amazing. I had my son and his GF read the one about the venue. We had a great discussion on Babylon vs. Zion Modesty vs. Sexiness, and that kisses and other things like that are private affairs.

    Love the family pic.

I’m not finding as much “blog time” these days either and the most recent Ensign article really confirmed why

Green smoothies are great! It might be time for me to start them up again

BTW (just thinking about mushy green stuff)- when you get the thought or time could you post on baby food and if you have a good system for that? You’d think I have this down by now but solids always throw off my mealtime rhythm.

I’m weeding through my google reader too. I have more important things right now than to see every new craft and remodeling project out there 😉

I just don’t have time for them right now. Happy day! ☺
