Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Worth

Which if these people would you be more likely to help?

Why?

Do you feel one is more deserving than another?

Are you judging by the color of their skin?

Or the state of their clothes?

Or age?

What is the worth of a soul?

I am not suggesting that we accept sin or overlook evil, in our personal life or in the world. Nevertheless, in our zeal, we sometimes confuse sin with sinner, and we condemn too quickly and with too little compassion. We know from modern revelation that “the worth of souls is great in the sight of God.” We cannot gauge the worth of another soul any more than we can measure the span of the universe. Every person we meet is a VIP to our Heavenly Father. Once we understand that, we can begin to understand how we should treat our fellowmen.

One woman who had been through years of trial and sorrow said through her tears, “I have come to realize that I am like an old 20-dollar bill—crumpled, torn, dirty, abused, and scarred. But I am still a 20-dollar bill. I am worth something. Even though I may not look like much and even though I have been battered and used, I am still worth the full 20 dollars.” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf, You Are My Hands)

What are you worth?

You are so right! Sometimes we tend to forget that in the eyes of our creator,we are all beautiful, and that we are created equally. Looking at those pictures, I could easily help out the older person because he looked so worn out. Your post reminded me otherwise. Great post!

Love this message today. It is so easy to judge and to not even realize that we are doing that. Thank you for the reminder.

When I catch myself judging someone (yea, Im human, I judge at times) I try to remind myself the world needs a lot more loving and a lot less judging. I repeat it over and over again until the negative thoughts leave my mind. It actually been helping me.

The lady in the 5th picture with the drink doesn’t look like she needs help. Did you mean emotional help? I don’t wish to generalise but I’ve met people who look like her who have kind hearts and are non-judgemental. I think we could all learn from ‘different’ people.
