Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society.

The new history about Relief Society is DONE!!! Can I get a big

HOORAY!!!!

Called Daughters in My Kingdom: The History and Work of Relief Society, it should be arriving to all English speaking church units soon.

“Another blessing of the book I think will be, that it will break down some of the myths and misperceptions about Latter-day Saint women. As people read and decipher this, in the right spirit of understanding, they will learn that there is no second tier for the women of the church. That we are not an asterisk in this church, or in our theology, or in the world.” ~Julie B. Beck, General Relief Society President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints~

I cannot wait to read the stories of some of the great LDS women throughout history!

With chapters such as “Guardians of the Hearth” and “Charity Never Faileth” the book is divided into themes for ease of reading and studying. Read more about the book and see some of its pages in this article Diversity and Strength of Mormon Women Highlighted in New Relief Society Book.

And if you get the book before I do – don’t tell me!

Just kidding, let me know what you think!

I love your blog. I love chocolate, and I hate white chocolate too. I am glad I found you and look forward to other posts from you.

And I am looking forward to that book too. I think I will just read it like a novel when I get it.

How exciting! Thanks for letting us know. Do we purchase it through Desert Book? I don’t live in the Utah/Idaho area.

@Shauna, it comes straight from church distribution like other manuals, though this is not a manual. Your bishop should get it in the mail in the next couple of weeks to distribute to all the sisters.
