Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Be Still by William Joseph {Giveaway}

March 4, 2012 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 43 Comments

Calm, serene, masterful, delicate, peaceful, simple, reverent.

Those are the words that popped into my head as I listened to William Joseph’s new CD appropriately named, Be Still. It is a compilation of hymns and sacred songs arranged and performed in Joseph’s signature virtuoso style. It is perfect for a Sunday morning while getting ready for church, or an evening when you want to settle the family down for a peaceful time spent together. It really is a beautiful CD with songs such as Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, With Royal Praise, and I Know That My Redeemer Lives. The music encourages you to just stop, listen, and be still.

I was first introduced to William Joseph’s music by a friend. I was giving her son piano lessons at the time. I loved it from the very beginning! So much so I bought the piano music for William Joseph’s Beyond CD so I could play them myself at home.  Asturias is particularly fun to play!

William Joseph is an amazing pianist, and has toured with Josh Groban, Il Divo, Clay Aiken, and many others. He was discovered by David Foster, a producer who is behind Celine Dion and other big stars. Here he is explaining how his latest CD came about.

You can listen to samples of the songs and purchase Be Still here at PostitiveMusicandDownloads. Come Thou Fount is available as a free download there too!

Would you like to win his latest CD, courtesy of Positive Music and Downloads and Your LDS Radio? Follow the directions on the rafflecopter to enter.

    You always find the most amazing music. Where do you find the time? Thank you very much for directing my attention to this artist. I wish I could play more than cords. Maybe it won’t be too difficult to play on the violin.

    We love William Joseph! His music is fabulous! If you haven’t already, check out his other album, Within! It’s different from any other piano music you have heard before! And if you want to be completely amazed, look up some videos on YouTube and watch his hands as he plays!
