Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Happiness Happens

August 21, 2012 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 13 Comments

Did you know that August is Happiness Happens month? A few weeks ago I came across this wonderful story of service and giving and creating happiness. I knew I needed to share it with you!

It begins with a secret nine women held for more than 30 years. Would you be able to keep a secret for that long? You could if it was as sweet as this one!  Four sisters, one sister-in-law, and four friends decide to anonymously help out people in their community by paying a bill, providing new clothes for children in need, or helping a single mother. Their secret is still secret in some ways, but their husbands had to be told eventually…..oh, just go and read the article first. It explains it so much better than I do! {but make sure to come back}

It Ain’t Over: The Business 9 Women Kept A Secret For Three Decades

Now doesn’t it just make you feel good knowing there are people like that in the world? There is always something we can do to spread a little joy to others around us and in our communities. Here’s my contribution for today. A couple of joyful prints to brighten a desktop or wall.

    I just recently put together a Mother’s Blessing for a friend of mine. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the happiness of a new life. 🙂

    What a wonderful story! It really lifts my spirits to come across things like this and know that despite the fact that the world seems to be falling apart around us a lot of the time nowadays, there are still those that strive to make a difference. Inspiring!

    Thank you for the prints. I love the first one! 🙂

    Those are such beautiful prints you’ve made! I try to remind myself that I am being ungrateful for my blessings when I allow myself to feel sad about my situation. And happy is lots more fun anyway. 🙂

    What a neat story- and lovely prints. I don’t know if I’ve shared any happiness and joy lately, but I’ve been trying to help several people out by watching their kids, etc. It’s been kinda hectic and stressful for me, but it’s worth it to know that someone’s burden has been lifted for a time.

    Question: Where do you create all of your wonderful printables? I have loved them and used them both in my home and at church. Thank you so much for sharing them with the world!

      I create them in my Adobe Photoshop program, the same program I use to edit my photos.

      Glad you use them!
