October 2014 General Conference Printables

October 5, 2014 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 5 Comments

Wasn’t General Conference today wonderful? I am so glad we get to do this twice a year. It is refreshing and a great way to recharge by listening to the wise counsel and words of our church leaders. Here’s a photo of our General Conference wall starting to fill up with the kids’ post-it note thoughts from each speaker. We have a page for each of the members of the First Presidency and Quorum of Twelve Apostles. Then a few pages for other speakers. Some of the kids that didn’t get to so ride with the swathers the other day made the “We ♥ General Conference” banner.

Here are the printables and memes I created for the October 2014 General Conference. I will add more after Sunday’s sessions of General Conference end. These are the quotes that stood out to me as each talk was given. You can listen or print off the talks at lds.org. To download a print just click on it and it will take you to the dropbox file. You do not need an account to download. If a pop up windows asks you to create an account there should be a blue “No Thanks” at the bottom. Click on that to get to the free download.

I was particularly touched today by the “condone sin….snare.” When Zydeco reported that he witnessed cheating today, we counseled him to follow his conscience. He bravely emailed the teacher to report the incident, asking that the teacher contact him at home and not at school, where he could be overheard.

I am quite proud of him! No snare here…..for today at least 🙂 Each day for our youth is a challenge, right?

Oh man, you’re amazing to get so many done so quickly?! I really love the one “are we not all beggars” that talk resonated so much with me and has made me think long and hard about what I’m doing to give to others. Thanks so much for sharing, and we linked to you over at The Small Seed too!
