Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Starting Demolition

March 10, 2016 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} Leave a Comment

We have been in our new kitchen/dining room plus laundry, pantry and school room addition for a whole year now. I can hardly believe it! I had planned on sharing all about it but we were so busy with Eve’s wedding, then baby Henry was born, then we were farming, etc. etc. I just haven’t done it. Hopefully I’ll get to it soon.

Starting to tear down the wall between our old kitchen and the living room! We’re making it into on big living room about 25×26 ft. So excited!!

Today we FINALLY started tearing down the wall between our old kitchen and living room.

The kids have had a great time pounding and kicking and karate chopping the sheet rock.

The little boys especially have had a super fun time. We’ve only had to tell them stop them a few times from trying to hammer other walls. As long as they don’t try the windows!

We will make it one big room about 25×26 feet. I can hardly wait! Before we can finish knocking down the wall the ceiling in the old kitchen needs to be raised. It was lowered in the 1980s to install those horrible fluorescent lights.

Once that is done we will knock down the rest of the wall, take out the flooring, finish window trim, fix sheet rock in the old kitchen, install carpet and base boards, etc. Still a lot to do but it will be worth it!

For a treat here’s baby Henry who recently learned to clap. 🙂

#henrymurdock learned to clap today! He gets so excited he misses sometimes but he’s so darn cute. ?
