Cranial Hiccups

Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Pink Eye Stink Eye

October 12, 2016 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} 3 Comments

Jason has pink eye. I knew my luck would run out sometime. Up until now only one of my children has ever gotten pink eye. One! She was eleven and really good about not touching anyone so it didn’t spread.

Now it’s a waiting game. Jason is three. And also very smart. Which works against him sometimes.

We told him about washing his hands, not touching other people, and being careful to only sit in a certain spot etc.

Yesterday I went to town for some errands. Came back and asked how Jason was doing. Joseph replied, “Henry is definitely going to get pink eye. Jason ran up to him and rubbed his hands all over Henry’s eyes.”

What in the world?! And then last evening when the girls got back from church youth group he chased them around wanting to give them a hug. When I told him to stop Jason said, “I just want to share!”

This kid.

Day two and he now has it in both eyes. Today he has been running around and playing like normal while yesterday he just wanted to lay down and nap or watch movies. No one else has it.

Yet.

My Sister in Law has her children wear swimming goggles when they have pink eye to stop the spread.

Urgh! Last year at this time 10 of my 12 had it. It took 4 bottles of antibiotic drops to get everyone over it.

    You have my sympathy. 🙂

Eek! We have another one with it now. Two down, 6 to go (just counting the kids anyway).
