Every once in a while and totally unintentionally my brain spews out a good idea.

Have You Heard of Chatbooks?

November 4, 2016 by Montserrat {Cranial Hiccups} Leave a Comment

My first five girls have scrapbooks with all their pictures arranged on cute little pages.

The next three kids have all their pictures stuffed into photo page protectors.

The last three have nothing or almost nothing. But I’m working on it!

When Henry was born I heard about an app called Chatbooks. It links to your Instagram or Facebook accounts and creates photo books from the pictures you post. You can also add pictures directly from you phone without posting them to any social media site. It is so easy!

Each book has exactly 60 photos. Once you reach the 60 picture goal a new book is ordered but not before you have the chance to edit any captions or delete pictures you really don’t want to include. You also get to choose what picture you want on the cover.

On Instagram you can create books according to hashtags. Whenever I post about my kids I hashtag their name so it gets included in the right book. Here’s the first book with pictures of #HenryMurdock.

I have a book being created for each of my kids as well as books with pictures of our farm and family. We printed two of those books for Marie to take with her on her mission. They are so portable, just 6×6 inches, that she can take them with her every day.

On Facebook you create photo books according to the albums you have. I used Facebook when Marie asked if I could also make some Chatbooks with pictures of her ancestors. I created two private albums only I can see on Facebook. One album is for Joseph’s side of the family; one is for mine. I uploaded sixty pictures to each and added captions for the photos identifying who was in them and how they are related to Marie.

They turned out so nice! I ordered five more copies of each so all the older girls will get their own ancestor photo books for Christmas.

Each Chatbook is only $8. That is a steal compared to how much photo books can be on other websites! There are usually coupon codes you can use too to get a book at a discounted price. I ordered all those ancestor Chatbooks when there was a 40% off deal going on. SCORE!

I’ve got a deal to share with you today! Follow this link to the app and get your first Chatbook for free!
