I am woefully behind on posting our every day happenings at home and on the farm. We have been busy that is for sure!

Wheat was planted in the field next to our house at the end of March. This wheat will be used as a type of feed for cows so it’s not the same as the wheat humans use for grinding into flour for bread.

Everyone got to ride on the planter. It’s mesmerizing to watch!

When an alfalfa field gets too old we rotate it with either wheat or corn, sometimes teff. Next year this field will be planted in alfalfa again and hopefully be good for another six or seven years.

Now that it has been a month it is greening up nicely!
