Old Photos Get a New Look

Do you have copies of old black and white photos of your ancestors? Ever wondered what they would look like in color?

You need to try out this new “In Color” feature from MyHeritage!

My paternal grandparents Juan Subirats Ventura and Betty Jean Gibbs Ventura. about 1954

Isn’t that amazing? I have spent way too much time trying it out on family photos.

My great-grandparents, Charles Worthen Gibbs and Florence Emma Ashton Gibbs with their children. Back: Mary, Norma, Dick. Betty is in front. circa early 1930s
My maternal grand-parents, Eduardo (back far left) and Mariana (holding the baby) Alba with their family. My grandfather, Samuel Alba, is the boy at the left. The missionary in the back is Alton John Hayes. circa January 1927

This would be a fun activity to do with your family or a youth group. You do need an account with MyHeritage. If you already have a Family Search account you can sign up for free through their partner access!

As a warning, low resolution photos don’t work as well but still!

Read more about the process and technology as well as a how-to here at the MyHeritage blog.
