Ha ha. During my youth, Deidre Hall was quite popular on Days of Our Lives and everyone assumed I’d been named for her. She, without the extra R, is “dee-dra” versus my very Gaelic Deirdre “dear-dra”, a family heritage name. Oh, the jokes about being named for a popular star! I swore I would never do that to my children. They are all named for family members and favorite Catholic Saints!
